I practice counseling with a relational, person-centered approach. I understand the emotional, cognitive, and physiological effects of trauma. I operate with social justice in mind.
My clients know that I frequently reference their ‘relationship with self’. Just as you relate with others, I help my clients understand that their relationship with self deserves time and energy. Should you choose to work with me, you can expect to reflect on your own relationship with self and discover your aptitude for self-compassion.

I believe that all people deserve to do work that nourishes their spirit while earning a thriving wage and does not leech time away from their overall life. This belief is a large part of why I decided to create my own counseling practice. I love helping my clients reflect on their jobs and careers. Together we can identify aspects of your work you enjoy while examining the ways your job no longer serves you.

There are many ways we can gather information about ourselves. Based on personal experience and clinical training, I know that our dreams can provide a wealth of meaningful information if we examine them seriously. People might tend to dismiss their dreams as meaningless or irrelevant, but I advocate for prioritizing our dreaming experiences at least as much as our waking ones.
Dreamwork can be used for many purposes including helping you move forward if you’re feeling stuck, revealing aspects of yourself that are obscured from your waking mind, and to reinforce some of the primary aspects of dreaming including memory consolidation and emotional regulation.
I have completed coursework in Dreamwork in Counseling at the Masters level, and I have engaged in dreamwork with clients throughout my clinical practice. I strive to stay updated on the latest dreamwork literature and research, and I maintain a personal dream-recording and reflection practice. Dreamwork can be the sole reason you seek to work with me, or it can supplement a counseling treatment plan we have already created together.

I want my clients to feel empowered to learn about all aspects of themselves, including sexual- and gender-identity and expression. As a queer, non-binary person and mental health professional, I seek to offer my clients a safe, trusting, and healing space to dive deep into their identities. This kind of trusting, safe relationship is especially important if you don’t have people in your life who you trust to know your authentic self. I advocate for a world where my queer and trans siblings can live freely and joyously as their authentic selves.
I have specific experience and training in helping clients identify what gender transition steps they may want to take, if any. I have worked with many clients who experienced internalized homophobia and/or transphobia to work against their feelings of shame.
